if I get lost here, it's not for lack of trying. I warn you of dedication and you warn me of disguises, so we're lighthouses and rocks both. we take such careful footsteps toward each other because we were swallowed whole once before, but you know what? it was always worth it with you. just please, let this be worth it for you too. so I met the family of the friendcrush (you know what I mean, right?) and they're lovely, and sheis/theyare just more people to miss. I love this country and its vastness and emptiness, etc., but please just shrink down and let me love the people I love in person, okay? so much hinges on the number of footsteps between me and the smalloceanoffriends, and I don't want that to be true anymore. we need to find a place. and I am staying put for reasons my heart knows
